Day 1 GLO Office, NSW Sydney, NSW: Luke Breaden, Stephenie Chin, Laurie & Margaret Cowell, Don & Joan Donsworth (S), Christine Hibbard, Elizabeth Lee, Sonny & Juno Ng, Linda Park, David & Joy Scott (S). PRAYER Please continue to pray for a couple to fill the role of hosts at our Sydney Centre, for an English teacher to teach in our English as a Second Language course. Day 2 St. Clair / Erskine Park, NSW St. Clair, NSW: Allan & Kerry Driver. PRAISE for the encouragement of a number of contact families who attended recent bridge building activities; for the 2 younger brothers who shared in our teaching service recently; for God’s leading for Steve & Lai Yan in their future ministry. PRAYER for those who attend the Father’s Day Family Service; for our Father’s Day golf activity; for the group travelling to the Philippines to visit 2 Missionary families.
Day 3 Romania Siret: Cornel & Anna Haures, Talmaciu: Maria Fitea, Marinela Georgescu, Gabi & Felicia Ispas, George & Lidia Sortan, Dani & Doina Vasilca. PRAISE (Talmaciu) for the Gypsy and Romanian children who heard the Gospel in August; for the Malaysian team who were a great encouragement to so many churches. PRAYER (Talmaciu) that the new children starting kindergarten on the 15th of September will settle in well; for provision of new contacts for printing jobs; for strength and wisdom for all the workers at GLO Romania.
Day 4 Zambia Ndola, Zambia: Simon & Mahongo Banda, Rebecca Kaumba, Evaristo & Elizabeth Kutontonkanya, Felix & Eveness Muchimba, Robert Mwitwa. PRAISE for the blessed time that the students had on a two-week individual church placement; for encouraging visit of lecturers and friends from the UK. PRAYER for students as they wait upon the Lord for ministry opportunities after completing the course next month; for Lubomba (Muchimba’s son) to know the Lord's provision and grace as he enters University in London this month.
Day 5 India Chennai: J. David Augustin, John Pandi & Gnana Sundari, Colin & Sheeba Pandi, Rajan. PRAYER For God’s direction as John Pandi looks for suitable office and storage space for general literature, Emmaus courses and Bibles; as John adds one hundred “promoters” to distribute thousands of literature packs and as he significantly increases the flow of Emmaus Bible Correspondence Courses. For additional gifting to make this possible.
Day 6 Denmark/ England / Faroe Islands Copenhagen, Denmark: Andrew & Sara Berghamar, Joguan & Elin Jacobsen, Valdemar & Ruth Lutzen. Hereford, England: Andrew & Claire Gibson, Mike & Deb Stuffins. Torshavn Faroe Islands: Jogvan & Unn Zachariassen. PRAISE (Hereford) for 8 years of GLO involvement in the Hereford assembly. PRAYER (Hereford) for Challenge Community Church to adjust after the GLO team's involvement comes to an end. For Mike & Deb Stuffins as they move on from Full-time Christian work; for Andy & Claire Gibson as they move to a new location.
Day 7 Indonesia Andrew & Donna Cowell, Koko & Yus Handoko, Chuck & Cindy Harrison (A), Kefas & Endang Kariyono, Suko & Heddy Raharjo. PRAISE for the monthly fellowship-prayer meeting in Malang and for the 13 PNG Catholic/Christian brothers studying in a local university who attend the fellowship meeting. PRAYER for Andrew Cowell lecturing for two weeks at CTI, South Korea from 7 to 24 September; for strength for Donna and the children while Andrew is away. For diligent follow-up on the contacts from the recent Youth & English Camps.
Day 8 ESL/SPELL Course, NSW ESL/ SPELL Course, NSW: Dr Don & Margot Nicholls. PRAISE One past student, and a son of past students were baptized at Burwood. John & Mary Woodley’s visit – and news of their English teaching. PRAYER for perseverance in studies for the rest of the course; for students as they plan for life after GLO SPELL.
Day 9 Ireland/ Peru / Spain Nth Ireland: Sam & Andrea Gibson. Rep of Ireland: Enniscorthy: Andrew & Lorna Burt, Magdalene Burt, John & Linda Stanfield. Limerick: Eric Sneddon, Berny Tuccillo Trujillo, Peru: Richard & Pamela Harknett, Luis & Anne-Laure Mostacero. Murcia, Spain: Ray & Eunice Cawston PRAYER (Enniscorthy) that the contacts through the GLO outreach may attend an evangelistic course in September. (Limerick) for Berny Tuccillo as he marries Michala on the 28th September. (Murcia) for the Children’s festival in late September and for the three people that were baptized recently.
Day 10 Training Centre, Smithton, TAS Training Centre, TAS: Wilf Ashton (S), Keith & Bronwen Cruickshank, John & Bev Moore, Alison Purton, John & Clarice Quilliam (S), Peter & Gayle Quilliam (S). PRAISE for the thirty ladies who came to the Ladies meeting on 21 August led by the women students; for the seven applications already received for next year’s course. PRAYER for Staff and students as they lead the Scottsdale Holiday Bible Club from 10-14 September; for a good number to attend the “Weekend with a Purpose” on 22-23 September.
Day 11 South Korea C.T.I. South Korea: Choi Chung Min & Daphne, Lee Ok Yong & Soon Ja (A). PRAISE for a series of fruitful summer camps from various assemblies to be held at the GLO Korean building; for a new part-time student for the second semester. PRAYER for Andrew Cowell as he comes to CTI Korea to lecture on series of spiritual growth and Apologetics in September for two weeks.
Day 12 Myanmar Neng Za Kot & Dimsan, Zam Than Lian & Esther, Naing Niang (Joy), Khai, Lun, Nu Nu. PRAYER that Khai Khai will grow in God’s grace and in His knowledge as he develops a range of skills at our Tasmanian Centre in preparation to serve the Lord in Myanmar. For Nu Nu as she gains fluency in English and other skills, trains in Tasmania next year and then returns to Myanmar to serve the Lord. Day 13 Filipino Ministry, Blacktown, NSW Filipino: Ding & Len Guballa, Lyn Guballa, Redeemer & Lai Guballa, Gil & Daisy Guballa (S). PRAISE God for His goodness and faithfulness; for the growing number attending church; for the growing love and harmony in the church towards one another. PRAYER for the preparation for the Anniversary-Outreach in November and for those who are going to be involved; for the 10 Bible studies held every week.
Day 14 Toormina NSW / Central Coast NSW Toormina, NSW: Ray & Pat Harwood, Central Coast NSW: Mert & Marg How. PRAISE (Toormina) for all the visitors who came to the 20th anniversary celebrations. (Central Coast) For time of rich blessing and fellowship at Toormina's 20th anniversary. PRAYER (Toormina) for the future direction of the assembly. (Central Coast) For Marg as she leads the Kairos weekend from 14-16 Sept., & for willing and responsive hearts of the 'guests'.
Day 15 France Bagnol: Pierre & Alison Bariteau, David & Sheena Buchan. Marseille/Aubagne: Garry & Kim Blair, Marie-Christine Fave, Philippe & Marie-Christine Perrilliat, Christian & Ruth-Lise Piaget, Mickael & Marie Brunel Mayenne - Chateau Gontier: Chris & Michelle Hall, Christian & Catherine Moreau, Maynenne - Laval: Mike & Alison Packer. Mayenne- Nante: William & Liz Irwin. Mayenne -Quimper:Yannick & Margaret Ollivier. PRAISE (Mayenne) for the ‘Music for the Soul’ GLO Team and all the concerts held. PRAYER (Mayenne) for opportunities to deepen fellowship at the church retreat on 22-23 Sept; for replies from the tracts being distributed over the coming months. (Marseille) for Garry & Kim as they move back to Scotland on furlough.
Day 16 Itinerant Workers Itinerant Workers: Brian & Gwenda Goodwin, David & Ruth Mitchell PRAISE for the encouraging time Brian & Gwenda had in New Zealand taking meetings at various assemblies. PRAYER for Ruth & David as they plan to visit and encourage the believers at Toormina Assembly in early September and then onto other assemblies out west.
Day 17 GLO/Yackandandah, VIC GLO/YACK: John & Kerry Sojka. PRAISE for the ‘working bee’ held on Saturday 1st September to finish off the building of the training centre. PRAYER for a good enrolment (so far 10 enrolments) to the GLO Impact 2 course being held on 24 Sept. to 19 Oct. and for God’s help to John & Kerry as they oversee the course.
Day 18 Burwood Korean Ministry, NSW Joseph & Rebecca Kim, Andrew & Elizabeth Lee. PRAISE for the baptism of Ashley & Eddy in August; for good fellowship at Wednesday night meetings. PRAYER for the spiritual growth of believers through a new Bible study program in the afternoon; for James Lee as he sits for his HSC exams in Oct/Nov.
Day 19 QLD Ormeau: Peter Jenyns, Andrew Lennox, Robert & Karen Ruge. Qld Co-ordinator: Bruce & Angela Jenyns Logan West: Neil & Deborah Connell. Go for God: Neil & Deborah Connell PRAISE (Ormeau) for God's guidance in the new church plant currently being organised. PRAYER (Ormeau) for growing attendance at the new small groups in the church. (Logan West) for wisdom and encouragement in the work for Neil & Debbie.
Day 20 Somerset, TAS Somerset, TAS: Pauline Cunningham, Les & Frances Ollington (S). PRAISE for those who attended the Prayer Supper on the 20th Aug. There were at least 7 assemblies represented from the NW coast, each had an opportunity to share their situation and each prayed for in turn. PRAYER for the future direction for the Somerset assembly. None of the current members wish to see the assembly cease to exist.
Day 21 Albania / Italy Albania Shkoder: Tom & Anna D’Andrea, Wilf Ashton (S). Campobasso: Regin & Heidi Guttesen, Naples, Italy: Robert & Muriel Hamilton, Vicky Bibby, Joel & Adina Volle, Pozzuoli: Patrizio & Jennifer Zucchetto, Pozzengo: Adino & Eleanor Ricossa. Tuscany: Leo & Angela Isac. PRAISE (Albania) for God’s travelling mercies for Tom & Anna in these past three months of pilgrimage. (Pozzengo) for the new contract for the use of the hall for the services. PRAYER (Albania) for protection of the believers from every attack of the evil one. For the spiritual growth of believers and for those now residing abroad. (Pozzengo) for the Bibles that were bought by non-Christians at the Secular Book fair that they will be read, and that the readers will seek the Lord.
Day 22 Philippines Batangas, Philippines: Graeme & Rachel Fleming. Manila, Philippines: Shane & Rene Wildermoth. Samar: Paul & Gerrah Kulikovsky, Bruce & Angela Jenyns. PRAISE (Samar) that Bruce & Angela have settled in well in Samar. PRAYER (Samar) for the youth leaders as they lead a Sports fest to attract young people back to the church. For the Church’s 10th Anniversary celebration where Shane Wildermoth from Manila will be the guest speaker. For visa approval for Jayson to come to Australia for further training with GLO.
Day 23 Audio Ministries / Malaysia Audio Ministries: Noela Elvery (A), Julie Loudon (A). Malaysia: Daniel & Ruth Jeveraj, Eugene & Siew Ling Yapp. PRAISE (Audio Ministries) that the consignment of players and audio cassettes (replacing some of those that were stolen during the Congo war) reached Acira safely. PRAYER for wisdom in preparation for 3 seminars being held in India in October; for recording of AIDS programs with Acira in Nairobi in November.
Day 24 Scotland Bellshill, Scotland: Colin & Margaret MacPhie, Al & Lynsey Burt . Johnstone: John & Fiona Dick, Bobby & Mairi Sneddon, Motherwell, Scotland: Carolyn Baker, David & Margaret Clarkson, Mark & Shirley Davies, Jan Goodall, Allison Hill, Stephen & Debbie McQuoid, Alistair & Ruth Noble, Anna Pinney, Ian & Jenny Smith, John & Cathie Speirs. PRAISE (Johnstone) for the 90 children at the summer clubs and for the parents who came along to the Coffee & Chat and the Toddler groups. PRAYER (Motherwell) for the new group of 19 students as they commence the ‘training for service’ course on 24 September.
Day 25 Special Areas in Central Asia Gin & E- Boon, Dhruba & Ruth, Howard & Monika (A) PRAYER for His wisdom and guidance as four GLO Committee members visit and enter into discussions in China on the 26th - 27th September regarding the acquisition of a building for future ministries.
Day 26 Multi-Cultural Ministries, NSW Luke Breaden , Richard & Stephenie Chin, Laurie & Margaret Cowell, Sonny & Juno Ng, Mui Kiang Ng, Judy Steve & Lai Yan Walker, Judy Woon, Stephen Yew. PRAISE for extra help to the church ministry – Steve & Lai Yan Walker have now joined our fellowship. PRAYER for Margaret Cowell in her work with ‘meals on wheels’; Juno Ng in her tuition work with some church children; Mui Kiang Ng in her Bible teaching work; Stephenie in her GLO and youth work; Judy Woon in her work with Anglicare and Evangelism Explosion (Chinese) at the Detainees Centres.
Day 27 Mongolia Mongolia: Bayer & Tumenjargal, Luke & Nandia PRAYER for His grace and oneness as elders shepherd the Ulanbartar assembly; for the growth of a daughter church plant; for the medical clinic and eye clinic set up by Dr Howard Harper; for funds to complete an orphanage building; for dedicated Australians to serve with Mongolians in Bible teaching, ministry training and mercy ministries.
Day 28 Western Australia. Albany: Phil & Janey Goodall(A) The Kimberley,WA: Phill & Wendy Brewster (A). PRAISE (Albany) that the local primary school is applying for a part-time Chaplain with Phil in mind. (That would lead to opportunities for outreach.) (The Kimberley) for good meetings and blessings at the convention of Kimberly Christian Fellowship in Kununurra. PRAYER (Albany) that the Primary School’s application for a Chaplain will be accepted. (The Kimberley) for the need of a permanent venue to hold local church meetings. For the prison ministry, local contacts, and distribution of gospel papers.
Day 29 In-Service Training In-Service Training: Kalpana Sri Kumaran, Linda Park, Bric Yim PRAYER for Kalpana, Linda & Bric and their mentors. Pray that they will be disciplined in their study times and be encouraged as they meet with their mentors and as they gain further knowledge of God’s Word.
Day 30 Finance (NSW) Elizabeth Lee, Juno Ng, (QLD) Neil Connell, (TAS) Ian King (S), Alison Purton, (VIC) Geoff Weatherley (S). PRAYER Please pray with us as we trust the Lord for His provision for personal and ministry support for national workers in seven countries; for Bibles and literature; for vehicles and buildings. We are deeply grateful for His provision through special people who give sacrificially to further His kingdom.
